A few months back I was down the gym with my mate, he always brings a sports bag but never opens it. I have always wondered "what's in the bag?", this day I found out one of the items contained within!
A particularly putrid smelling person of foreign origin was working out quite near to us, so my mate (infuriated by this breach of the human right to breathe) went over to his bag, got out an aerosol can of Glade and sprayed it at this bloke until he left the room!
I remember the look on his face, it was the face of someone who has just lost his gym membership, he turned round rather sheepishly. He received a rapturous standing ovation from everyone in there!!!!
Smelly-man has never been back!

How about approaching it by saying something along the lines of 'phew, by the end of the day I just wanna get home and jump in the shower. I feel really riffy! Don't you?'. They may deny it but it could make them think and perhaps you'll see a difference without even having to get to the point.

If you have noticed then someone before you has also noticed and said something to them....
Get your own car or relocate or change jobs for your own sanity!
We once left a bar of soap and shower gel in a smelly work colleague's locker with a note "get a wash, you stink!" - He thought it was a joke - until our MD threatend him with the sack! -He left thank God!!!!

I'd get a new job......this guy probably knows that he smells....and gets off on seeing you look uncomfortable.......next time you see him punch him in the balls and say have a wash smelly nuts or your walking......as everyones mum out there would say honesty is the best bet......but still dig him in the balls....for all the times he's been smelly.....

Just be straight and tell them. It sounds too unbearable to keep quiet about it. You'll be doing them a favour.

Honesty is the best policy. Just let him know frankly that he's stinky. You shouldn't be forced to suffer because of his bad hygiene.
