I'm currently 14 years old, 5'3, yeah im small in height, and about 128 pounds. My arms are small, my legs are firm and barely any fat except the fat your born with, but my upper chest is suffering. It seems all the fat isnt spreading out, its going directly to my chest, making me have kind of man boobs and a chubby chest. Is there a number of certant exercises i should do that help my chest, and how much? Also i have this game that tells me when i lose calories, if i were to play this how many calories should i lose a day? Thanks

Dude, what you need is a diet and exercise plan. At your age, you shouldn't be worrying too much about caloric intake; worry more about the quality of foods you're eating. In this day & age, sodas are nothing more than liquid fat; the high fructose corn syrup that has replaced natural sugar is harder for the body to convert to energy, thus it gets stored as fat. 95% of the candies & snacks available are between half and 3/4 fat; not good for anyone who isn't seriously active. Instead of soda & chips, try some fruit, iced tea, 100% natural fruit juices, veggies (carrots, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, etc) and drink plenty of water. Believe it or not, your body burns calories just converting a cool glass of water to your body temperature!
A little exercise throughout the week wouldn't hurt either. Three times a week, get out & play some basketball, go to the batting cages & swing away, go swimming (this activity uses more muscles than any other exercise!), ride a bike around the neighborhood, etc. If you can't find anything you like, try doing some push-ups & sit-ups first thing in the morning; as soon as you get up, bust out 10 push-ups & 20 sit-ups! After a few weeks, you'll notice that you can do more than 10 & 20, and you'll see that fat shrink away.
In closing, just eat right, get out & do something fun, and enjoy yourself!!!

Hi Brien,
First of all you don't need to start dieting. Sometimes when teens are about to go through a growth spurt they put on a little weight in various areas of the body..also your hormones at this age play a role in developement too..
I know this sounds like an "adult" type of answer but be patient. If you don't pick up some height in the next six months or so..talk to your parents and then your doctor..
Try to eat healthy (boring!) and exercise at least 3 times a week (sweat!)..thinks should even out so to speak.

Don't listen to USMCsting...apparently he's not that bright. If I were you I'd relax, you're only 14 and 5'3". You still have a lot of growing to do (on average men continue to grow until the age of 21). Not to mention 5'3" at 128lbs is healthy! If you want to do something about it I'd suggest pushups, or bench pressing with very light weights. This is not to build strength but to burn fat which you could do with 2 10lb barbells and several repetitions. I'd suggest 5 sets of 20 every day. If that's too much weight feel free to decrease the weight until you can do all 5 sets. This will burn fat but won't put you in danger of hurting yourself. If you decide to really lift weights, talk to someone who is experienced and could help you do this safely (I'd wait until you were 16, you don't want to damage your bone structure while you're still growing). Good luck and be careful, also don't forget to warm up!
