The Bible was not written by one person it was written by about 40 people over a 1600 year span under inspiration of gods holy spirit and had information about things no m,an of the time could have known and we are still discovering many treasures in it The first book was finished in 1513 B.C.E. the last was written in 96C.E. and has basically remained unchanged except for language and the removal of Gods name see Ps 83 :18 OKJV by some radical members of christendom in some translations and versions it is only there 4-6 times whereas in the original Hebrew and Greek it is in there 7,210 times as it should be Gorbalizer ( some bad ones have it deleted altogother) what a shame on them

The bibel was not writen by insane People their were anointed and choosen by gods grace
The Lord send forth his Holy Spirit, anointet the people with it and used them to write this only truth, the bible.
The holy spirit worked in them who write the bible, some people will tell that the Bibel where changed by People it is true but only to proof their beliveness for example the Jehova Whitness or the Jesus only church. But the truth their couldnt change realy because God wrote the Books in work of the holy spirit because Gods ways are higher than our ways. Sorry my englisch knoledge is little poor

We don't really. It's our faith that helps us to believe in Jesus and the Bible. No one will know for certain until they die. No one has ever come back and told us about heaven or hell. Faith in God is all you and I have to go on. No one should be offended by your question. I think it is a good one and gives a person a reason to stop and think therefore either strengthening their faith or if there faith is weak, to lose it. Either way your question is not offensive to a true Christian.

We know that very well, because the bible is wonderfully political, and geared at safeguarding the subservience of the masses.
It was not only well thought through by those who compiled the first versions in AD 325, but its wording was further edited some 1000 times to make the contents in-objectionable to those in power.
For example, why do we need 10 commandments? In order that they cement inequality.
Jesus had just one commandment. It was this one: "Treat your fellow human being at all times they way you would want to be treated in their place". But this, Jesus' one and only true commandment was unacceptable to those in power. They had the land, the wealth and all privileges. They wanted to exploit the masses, and not to treat them as they treated themselves.
Think!
It is all so obvious. And if you can think, then proceed to reading "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. Available only since February 2006, it already is a major force of knowledge about God and the Universe amongst the thinking people. Sooner than you believe, it will replace the religions. Have a good day.

We Don't? But the Bible is now and always has been about Faith....not Fact...and right now that is all we have...to base our faith on...and no matter how illogical or insane it may seem to others ...Thru Faith I still choose to follow It's teaching...but II Timothy 3 : 16 and II Peter 1 : 20 & 21 tell us that all scripture is given by inspiration of God...

It is possible. The bible itself tells us to test the prophets to see if they are hearing from God.
Do they lead you away from the true God, Yahweh Elohim? Do they tempt you to bow down to idols. Then also do they take away from God's already revealed Word that has been proven true. Also, a true prophet who hears from the LORD God, prophecy, their prophecies are true and come to pass. So also the prophecies of the OT have come to pass. Also, NT prophecies have come to pass & we're seeing the signs of the times & things coming to pass right now.
As far as the Holy Bible goes, they have been tried & found true, and Jesus confirmed some of the books Himself. Moses, the Prophets (including Jona). I had some doubts about Jona, but Jesus said He would be in the heart of the earth like Jona in the whales belly. Jona was to bring the message of repentance & forgiveness to Ninivah and Jesus brings the message of repentance and forgiveness to all us.
I know that if you searched Christian literature on bible accuracy, you would realize how true the bible is.

If Jesus were just "insane" or self-deluded, there would not have been the resurrection; and the disciples would have scattered.
Because He rose, within 50 days the Apostles, previously hiding in fear, now were proclaiming the Resurrection with boldness. And were willing to die for the Faith.

Because the Bible is the only book in history where you can find "complete" proof and evidence. The Bible is the only inspired, infallible, written Word of God.

Good question.
Trust in reason, not revelation --
-- unless the revelation is your own, of course.
Then, WE'LL have to wonder if you're just an insane person hearing voices : )

I read fiction books where insane men wrote prophcys. Maybe that's the only way God could think of to get the worlds story out.
