all day just to find out i had a kidney infection! I went cause my back hurts bad! i mean real bad is that really associated with a kidney infection?

yes it is one of the signs.....you kidneys are actually hurting....if you touch directly behind you above your waistband this is probably where your pain is....your kidneys are next to your back so that is why you feel pain there.....take your antibiotics..drink lots of water...pain should ease in a day...good luck

Don't you believe the doctors??? YES, a kidney infection can be very painful. Be sure to take all of the medications you were given, even if you begin to feel better. And if it doesn't completely clear up, go back to be checked again.

yes, your kidneys are located in the lower back. Its completely the first tell tale sign of kidney infections.

Ya. They are very painful. The doctor should have given you som king of medication to ease the pain. Hope it's not kidney stones. They hurt more. Good luck.

You bet. Your kidneys are located in your lower back just above your buttocks, well maybe just below your rib cage. One is on the left side and the other on the right side.

you might have a kidney stone. my mom had one a month ago and she said it hurt like crazy. stones are usually caused by a buildup of caffiene in the kidney or somewhere else, i forget, but you might want to ask your doctor about them.

Yes, infection can cause you to hurt. Some advice; If you are not dead, dying, or bleeding to death do not go to ER. Go see your family MD.
