not what I had expected. We have dated for 6 mos and every time we start getting close, like CLOSE, she runs and hides. We love each other a lot. She was crying her eyes out, said she was afraid going into the relationship that she would run back to her shell. Which she did. I told her I can't give her that much space and feel like we're still dating. So I told her today if she needed some space, take as much as she needed. If she wants something more, then go get it. If she wanted this to continue, then things had to change. I also said that if she's leaving b/c she's afraid of hurting me, that's the easy way out. I said, "If you leave, do it b/c you think it's best for you." (And she did) Is she just looking for more and afriad to tell me b/c she doesn't want to hurt me? Is she just hiding from her feelings (what I think) and if so WHY DO WOMEN DO THAT??? She said she always does this in relationships. Sound familiar to anyone? Any words of wisdom, advice, encouragement?

set her free, one day when your both much older and she's more mature you may hit it off and have a nice future together, you shouldn't get hung up on her, sounds like you are more mature than your age so go live a little and enjoy life and make memories with friends and family, you have your whole life to meet others
