Went to the doc because i was experiencing quite a bit of pain, anyway, he gave me a prescription and i took it to my local walmart to get. They gave me the tablets and i took it home and took what the bottle said. Anyways, bout 2 hours after taking it, i experienced much more pain, but kept taking them. I took them for 3 days, then my wife noticed that walmart had given me 2x as much as i was supposed to be taking.

Should i let them know about their mistake or let it ride? I just kind of wonder, what if they did the same to someone else whose medication was for the heart or something.and killed them, seriously.

I worked in a pharmacy for about 6 years at Walgreens. Sadly, once in awhile, mistakes like that have happened. But it's because of those people that complained and said something about it that Walgreens has implemented more precautions to prevent further mistakes as best as possible. I mean it was probably human error...we aren't perfect, but you need to make them aware and they should refund your money and replace it with the correct medication. Take care.

Holy *C*....You need to call Walmart immediately. I would make them pay for any additional costs to you. This is really bad. You need to call your MD and tell them what happened. Sometimes too much of a medication can send someone into acute renal (kidney) or liver failure.

This happens a lot, but you shouldn't let it slide. This is a bad thing and needs to be handled right now.

I wouldn't talk to anyone else but a manager or pharmacist....you need to call you MD to make sure you're okay....

Please call right away.

Best wishes.

You should definitely inform walmart about their mistake which could have serious repurcussion in other critical diseases. They are supposed to give only what is prescribed and in required quantityonly.
