I never liked any pic I took, except one. It's always, I have my eyes closed or I look dead, how can I change this?

It seems to me that photogenic people are born photogenic.

When you take your picture, try to life your head up so that it's level with the ground. Sit up straight and put your shoulders back.

Try taking pictures from many different angles, such as facing your head left, right, and an angle, and so on. If you experiment a lot, your bound to find an angle that makes you look photogenic.

Being photogenic has to do with symmetry. The more symmetrical your face is, the better you photograph. You can't change the symmetry of your face, so my only advice is to take lots and lots of pictures from different angles until you find one you like.

practice smiling in front of a mirror. be aware of how you're holding your face when you practice so you can imitate that in front of the camera. dont' smile too big. make sure you open your eyes when someone takes a pic.

I hate being photographed too. I find that my best pictures are the ones where I don't know there's a camera in the room.
