You don't say what you're irritated with so I'll offer you two suggestions; first, the best therapist I've ever seen used to often have me, not irritated, but angry enough to quit seeing him AND report him to everybody from the BBB to the AMA. Without fail, though, within a couple of days it would occur to me what he was trying to make me see and I'd cool off. He helped me a lot. Second, the Woman I see now just has some personal habits that drive me nuts. I have to have things in order and she lives in a world of clutter and disorder, I can't abide the thought of bodily functions and she constantly has the sniffles, and so on. She's a helpful caring person, just annoying. Don't give up, see what happens.

I have left probably 10 therapist because I was offended by the way they treated me... Some treated me as though i was dumb... like i was 12 years old... Some have given me an attitude... I dont put up with it especially since i am paying... If i were you i would go and find 1 that you are comfortable with... even if it take you a couple tries.
Orrrrr you can always confront her on how you feel... maybe things can be worked out... since you say she is usually good...

Stick with her.
I have found i am most upset at my therapist when he does not agree with me and at those times, though i am irritated, i see why he is making that point.
maybe you just had the same feeling ???
Unless she crossed a professional line such as hitting on you ..
Therapy after all is to cure your core issues, which means there will be lots of unpleasant experiences otherwise you wouldnt need therapy.
At your next visit speak about your irritation. That's why you are paying the money, they are not there to judge you but to help you.

Let him or her know just how u r feeling, maybe they will extend ur time abit,Try not to introduce very serious topics just before u have to leave and advice ur doctor of this too. If it continues u can see another doctor. Good luck Curious 2006

She may have had an off day. Try two or three times more. Tell her you are irritated.

Stick, and tell her you are irritated with her. Actually, it's a good sign, means you are making progress.

stick with it. I've been there, too. sometimes therapists have off days like all of us. They aren't perfect and they don't have to be to help you. Sometimes i get plain old pissed at mine..especially if she makes me face something i don't like to see!

Stick with it, somedays you just do not click. Them or us - I can never figure out, but they are usually fine next time. Give it more time than one bad session.

I'd go a couple more times and then if she's still irritating you (it happens) then try someone else.

Keep on going if she's good usually. It seems to be a good thing...with that one, from reading what you say
