I disagree wholeheartedly and find your question a sick twisted view on all men. while not to sling arrows - see what other denominiations have had the same problem. see the male gender as a whole and see who's more a pedophile - it's not priests, clergy or other - it the white middle income married male. ask Nancy Pelosi about NAMBLA and go from there -- get a life, i DO disagree - fully and thing you need to think and reseach before you speak.

Absolutely not. Anybody can be gay or a pedophile, it's not exclusive to the priesthood. That being said, maybe if priests were allowed to marry the incidences of abuse would go down.

Yes. I disagree. The priesthood is a calling to serve God. But, humans have failing. Trying to be perfect is a burden on humans when we are inherently imperfect. If Catholic priests could marry, then many of these actions by Catholic priests would be removed.

And, yes, I don't know if ther eis or isn't a God. I do behave as if there isn't one. But, the priesthood isn't about my personal perceptions on God. It is about the men who choose to be priests.

A possible reason that so many men of the cloth do these horrible things to little boys is that they joined the preisthood to be closer to their god because they were already having the dirty thought.
They may already be a pedophil and just not have acted on it and thought that going to the seminary, being close to god, and doing god's work may have protected them from having those thoughts anymore.

Is there no limit to ignorance and bigotry? Fewer than 1% of Catholic priests have been accused of any kind of sexual impropriety. And many of those accusations, based on supposed "sudden recall of suppressed memories" were blatant efforts to grab some cash through class action suits. Furthermore, virtually none of the charges that have been brought against priests have involved actual pedophilia. Almost all such cases involve adolescent boys, which means the acts were homosexual in nature, not pedophilic. The secular press invariably refers to such cases as "pedophilia" in order to evoke an emotional response, and to avoid casting homosexuality in a negative light, since support of homosexuality is one of the pet agendas of the liberal secular media. There is no evidence to suggest that homosexual acts against minors by Catholic priests are any more common than among any other group of men; and cases of actual pedophilia are far less common among priests than among men in the population at large. If cases involving priests seem more common, you can thank the media for brainwashing you. Any priest in the country who commits such a crime appears on the front page of every newspaper in the country, while most of the thousands of cases involving scout leaders, guidance counselors, rabbis, youth ministers, doctors, and the principle group of offenders - teachers - not to mention the many cases involving Grandpa or uncle Harry - never make the paper at all, or get two column inches on page 28.

Sexual iniquities (any iniquities) are passed onto the 3rd & 4th generation of those that hate God (Exodus 20).

So, priesthoods associated with idols would be gay or pedophile.

If it is a homosexual profession it is gay rather than pedophilic. Most of the victims were in their teens, rather than younger. Pedophilia is limited to victims under 13. Those over, say 16, are not of legal age, but sexual relations with them would be "gay."
