This is true - but it's because of how society is set up these days. The things that should be vitally important in a relationship or a person you're serious with - seem to be the last things on the list. And like I said earlier in an answer. .these days everyone is looking at the packaging, if it looks good it must be good - - and that's not the case, it's just window dressing. I read a question someone wrote about what makes a good wife, and you know how the guy answered: a cute face and fat butt. Now come on dog, we both know it makes a h## of a lot more than that to make a good wife. But that's what I'm referring to, everything is about how you look, rather that what's inside. And that's what is important. Does the person have good morales and values. . are they trustworthy, dependable, do they believe in God - do they love their mother, take care of their kids? And the other thing I see a lot of these days, is people are just selfish by nature, it's about what they want, what feels good to them, what they want to do - being considerate of each other isn't high on peoples list of priorities these days. They'd rather run out on a marriage than put forth the effort and work to make it succeed. We look for quick fixes these days. We'd rather have a bun than someone who adores us and treats us well - that's why relationships don't work because if you don't love yourself, you'll settle for all kinds of things in relationships that you know aren't right. When you begin to love yourself, you'll raise the bar and your standards of what you will and won't accept will be a lot different.
