Anyone can recieve mercy through Jesus if they repent and confess their sins, Atheists included (which from then, they will no longer be).

It may be harder for these "Fundies" you speak of because they believe they are right. It would actually take a very humbling and possibly emotionally painful situation for them to repent of the sins they commit that they turn a blind eye to.

Remember Jonah? He believed in God, but he hated those who did not. God sent him as a messenger to tell a whole city that they are sinful and that they can repent and be saved. What did God do? He spared the city, and He also humbled Jonah.

Let us not be like Jonah and give the lost a chance.

We all can be forgiven and get mercy for what we done. All we need to do is ask God for mercy. Atheists can have mercy to if they believe in God that is. But Atheist Really wouldn't care For Gods Mercy, now would they? But the answer is both can if God knows that they are truly sorry. But sometimes God punishes to show us he loves us like our parents do.

God pours out his mercy to Both but believers are open to it and atheists and such are not. Believers speak the will of God not because they know it all but because they have experience and have a relationship with God. God tends to share his will with those who willing to follow it!

Shalom

I take it your an atheist and want to find out that your life isn't a total waste of time. You don't really give a **** about the answer, because you already know you're right. Crawl back to your hole and think of something better to ask, like, why do I hate people or why do I hate myself.

Luke 12:48-But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Whose mercy? God's mercy? Then no one. No god, no mercy.
