Yes the film has made many people think, and one guy became a Christian and then owned up to his crime of the past. May the Lord continue to touch people's lives through this film.
For me, it made me realise more deeply just how much Jesus suffered. I am so grateful that He paid the debt which I could not pay.

Are you a messianic Jew? If you are so, that is fine, God bless you. The salvation of men kind comes through a Jew. It is funny that Jews whom I personally appreciate, read the Pentateuch with such fervor and yet do not realize that the new testament contains all of the signs the messiah should have. They are still waiting for the Messiah. All of the signs for the second coming of Jesus are currently palpable. Impossible to believe that Jews of that time intended to deceive other Jews with the story of Jesus. I hope I made any sense to you. Shalom. PD I liked both movies.

I think it's very gorey, and the truth is, the real deal probably was even more gorey.
I don't really recommend it to anyone who does not understand much about the Gospel. It kinda just leaves you with feeling bad if you don't know that Jesus rises again to greet his friends 'n stuff.
It also added some very Catholic ideas that weren't necessarily in the bible (like Satan staring at him all the time, what is up with that??).

I love "What About Bob". I loved "Lost in Translation", too. Somehow I don't think this is a movie question. But I'm passionate about movies.

for most people I recommend the movie
:the gospel of John by the visual bible, it is less violent
and VERY Jewish by the way.. and very artistically done
I liked the passion of the Chrst but it does ot set the story in context and is tough to watch due to the violence for many people
