2 INCHES???!!! That would be really enormous, most polyps are like 2 centimeters. As for the invasive nature of the surgery, the person to ask would be the surgeon, but if it were me, I'd want that out just as soon as humanly possible, could be cancerous.

Polyps are a bening cancer. They can become malignant, agressive and kill you. Get rid of it!
