Believe it or not, the UK Road Traffic Act makes it perfectly legal for vehicles to be parked on unfenced land. It's time clampers were taken to court for this infringment.

They may not get clamped but they can certainly be towed away by the police if you contact them. No-one has the right to park on private land - if the land can be proved to be private in the first place and if it can be proved that they knowingly parked there despite this, then you could possibly sue.

I have no idea, but maybe the next 'target group' for British citizens to have a go at will be people with disablities. Its about time we gave the muslims a break after all.....

My best mate is disabled and I have to lug the wheelchair in and out of her car for her - believe me that this is no mean feat and I am SO glad that she has a badge to park wherever she needs to!

You sound very hard, I'm disabled and have the relevant parking badges and would like to know where you live so that I don't inadvertantly park on your precious private land. I DO NOT HAVE JUST A BAD BACK but arthritus in most of my joints so walking any distance is extremely painful, and I hope that Katie G never experiences severe arthritis

Nobody. But you can only stop someone parking if you make it PERFECTLY clear that restrictions are in place AND that the land is not a public highway.
But maybe one day you will be disabled and need somewhere to park? Maybe that will alter your viewpoint.

the DDA (disability discrimination act) It stops disabled people from being discriminated against, but it also stops them getting into trouble coz they just scream discrimination "other people do it and she doesn't complain" etc i suggest you put a sign up saying no parking private property and next time if it bothers you that much phone someone who can do summat about it. But i suggest if its a one off you let them off it is only a car space...

I agree - that is f*cked up. Probably not disabled anyway, just getting their badge and benefits for a "bad back" if they can drive.
