The state religion of Great Britain is the Church of England, and most of the people are mostly secular.

There is much more separation of church and state in Europe than there is here, and it makes a lot of difference, and all in a very good way.
We could learn a lot from them, because the U.S. is already part way to becoming a religious state like Iran, and that would be awful.
You wanted an example: France is very Catholic, but religion is absolutely prohibited from having anything to do with life outside the churches.

Its not a big part of everyday life here in the UK,or continental Europe. Ive never come across religion in everyday life. People who are religious seem to keep it very much to themselves, and i don't think many use the churches, seem to be locked up most of the time.

The separation should be in actual facts. A separation in theory isn't enough. Here in Argentina, there is that separation, too. But in reality it doesn't exist.

I have heard that they are working real hard to cure that, by working closely with the Vatican behind the scenes. I do not how accurate that is.
