Yes, just use self raising flour instead of plain. This has the ingredients that will raise the cake or whatever you are baking!!

No! Unless you want a cake that looks like Pita Bread, the Powder makes it poofy. Wait you might be on to something, Cake Cookies! If ya don't have the time to go get or borrow some from the neighbors eat just the Ice Cream.

It will be very flat and hard if you do that. Baking powder/soda are leavening agents which increase the volume of the cake.

Sure you can! Get a box of cake mix and a jar of frosting. Those cakes are just as good as homemade and noone will know.
