I know several, but i will tell u ,my experience in prophecy.Prophecy does interest me,...it start from early 1980's,...i was in airport book store waiting to board an airplane, and i bought a book about Nostradamus prophecy.
During my flight,...i read the book and i remember reading that"...communism will VANISH....."
About 10 years after(early 1990),...i found that communism just vanish as told on the book.
However,...since Nostradamus was worng on his prediction of july 1999( he predict there will be an antchrist coming),...i dont believe it anymore.
So,...wether it merely coincidence,..or prophecies,..nobody knows,...but we can read prophecies,..not to be paranoid,...just to be aware what MIGHT happened.

The gift of prophecy is a very helpful yet can be a very dangerous one. Many people's lives were ruined because someone has given them a false prophecy. But if used according to scripture and with the aid of the Holy Spirit it edifies and builds up the body of Christ.
One needs to know exactly what is done and what is contained in a prophetic message before excepting it. Looking to sacred scripture, prophecies usually deal with repentance and are usually a word of correction. Nothing can be prophesied that's outside of what's already contained in scripture. St. Paul tells us in First Corinthians that prophecy and speaking in tongues go hand in hand. Both are in need of an interpreter. There are basically two ways to test prophecies. 1) Any authentic believer who has been granted the gift of interpretation can show it's authenticity by proclaiming it to be truth from Almighty God. or 2) Just wait and see if the prophecy is fulfilled.
In today's churches prophecy is used and abused. Personally I've only been to one church that actually takes prophecy seriously and when it does have a word it's always a word of chastisement or a reminder of Christ's return.
Seek God's wisdom on this issue, perhaps your mere curiosity itself is an indication that the Lord may want to use you as a prophetess!

I know a song by the band Soulfly called "Prophecy" and another one which is called "The Prophet". Man, I love that song but I have no idea what you are asking here.

Dont really know but you do have to test it, if you have enough faith to recive a prohecy then you will also have enough to recieve a sign from God. I have heard of people asking for one before, a specific sign so that they can know. If it is fom God then he WILL send a sign and its will be specific enough for you to know it's not just you. One guy I met at uni asked for a sign to his prophecy and a lady hed never spoken to before and didnt know about it, at his church came up to him and said that sunday that his prophecy was indeed from God!!!!!

If you're talking about Bible prophecy, then you can just look at the world today and see that everything it says in revelations is coming true.

You make a whole bunch of predictions but never say when they will happen. Then for the rest of eternity some fools will continously check them and try to find events that are clos to what you described then walla! You are now a genius but you have been dead for hundreds of years.

If you read the bible, there is quite a lot still to come. The way you test it is to keep living and watch it be fulfilled. And I'm not trying to be funny.
