Probably not. The seed was planted early on.

Recent brain studies have shown that people feel a need or presense of some sort of higher being, even athiests sometimes, they just fight the urge. For most people though, they think up something of their own to fill that hole in their head. That's why almost every ancient tribe and society had some idea of a God.
I think it would be the same for me, but It wouldn't do much good. The only way to heaven is knowing and confessing your sins to the true God. So why is my God no different than any other people's gods? It's because those other gods were thought up. Who wants to follow a god that someone emagioned? God (with a capital "G") was spoken about through many many different sources. The same exact God from all different sources has been written about in manuscripts all over the middle east. This is not idea, this is no god. This is God with a capital "G"

I think human nature would, and has, invented answers for what it does not understand or what it finds frightening. Science and logic has helped to clear away a lot of the debris and nonsense generated by religion. We have a long way to go though.
If you sit quietly and let body and mind fall away, what you sense is a big "Something" if there is no "big something" then we might as well just join the secular humanists.

Don't think so. I still am sligtly brainwashed if you know how to get rid of it all that would be very helpful. Also what should I do with the Bible I have. I thought about throwing it away but the image in my head is the fire will get higher and a loud explotion sound will occur.

Yes, I believe I would because God makes a way for us to be aware of Him in some form.

Really?.....then why would you come on a religious/spiritual forum to make that statement to believers when believers believe that GOD Does Exist!.........ps. go to a site that believes the same as you and you can discuss your (non- beliefs) with those who believe the same as you believe, otherwise you are either logging onto this site wasting your time or you are trying to stirr up strife with believers!......get with your own kind!....simple as that!.......you have proved yourself to be a perfect example of how a heathenistic, disrespectful, insulting mind thinks to those who have a right to believe whatever they want to believe!.........Congrats..... as yahoo continues to monitor this religious/spiritual site they will finally see that this site Needs To Be Sub- Categorized!....
