What do you want from this relationship?
1. Someone to go out with and just have fun and do things with him?
2. Are you looking for a life term relationship with no commitment?
3. Or are looking for a relationship with someone who is willing to commit his life to you and hope to raise a family in the future? If so dump your bf because you are wasting your time. Its better to hurt now than later.

My friend is in the same situation and it drives me crazy. Life is too short to wait around on people who could care less. Give him a choice.....commit or else! Most guys act like this because they can. They wanna go out and have their fun while it lasts because they know it will end when they commit.

Unless he is trying to finish an education or something else worthwhile, then it's understandable. If not, then explain to him that you've invested 4 yrs in him and if he doesn't think that you deserve a commitment then you aren't wasting any more time.
Odds are He'll change his tune if you break up for a little while.

You let him get away with it for 4 yrs so what makes you think anything will change ? Your just wasting your time if commitment is what you want.

Egads, how many idiots are going to have the same exact inquiry? Sift through some old questions for answers; you're sure to find the same question 10,000x over.

depends on hold old you are? He might want to wait because of age or goals he has yet to accomplish. No matter what, if you force him, he will dump you. If you can't handle his decision then you should dump him.
