All of them are. coz they're the older style diesel engine. The dsi's are worse coz they're common rail and they are pressure related.

i think it must be just you,after all this is a modern diesel engine with low low emissions,but dont get caught out buy judgeing it at night and looking in your door mirrors with the vehicles behind illuminating the smoke in there lights,this does look bad but is normal.

Well, it is a diesel, which is going to have something of Waynetta Slob about it, especially if it's not a common rail type.
