I heard about this and I am not very sure if it is true. That women were to cover the their bodies and faces in the Arab region specially among the Bedouin tribes that that it was a protection against the dusty winds they have been travelling through across the desert.
Now as for what you have said, I had the opportunity to be invited by a Prince to join an occassion in one Bedouin tribe in Baha, Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. I saw for a fact how really the eyes alone of their women could be very seductive and I am not surprised if they are all told to cover their faces.
As for men being horny as you worded it, who in the world would not be if your society have had put so many restrictions to you regarding morality? If United States have been so liberal about how women should cover or not cover their bodies, we still go out of our ways to see porno shops, movies, magazines, internet, what more would you expect from those who have not been exposed to our ways?

In Islam, both men and women are expected to be modest in their dress, but women cover their face and hair so as not to display their beauty to anyone other than their husband. I don't think women are viewed as 'unclean', but from what I know of Islam (not a lot) I do think there is a certain amount of inequality between men and women, and being covered is possibly part of an attempt to control women. But I don't know about that.

it is the same reason women of the mormon faith have to wear long skirts, and women of other more strict christian faiths aren't allowed to wear make up.
it is believed man was created to be easily inticed into sin. to wear the burkha helps keep men from sin.
so kinda sorta, yes. but you have to review all three abrahamic faiths instead of trying to crap on only one

Those chicks aren't all pretty. Let me assure you of that friend. Some of them look like who did it, and what for. The veil is just a tool of male oppression that women have been brainwashed into accepting and defending. Nothing more.

Plus imagine the fact that they met and fall in love with a woman based SOLELY on their personality and THEN see their body. At least the woman know the men like them for their brains first
