men are not allowed to sit,sleep,touch or show any affection for those days. men are allowed to go to non jewish prostitute. but their women have to remain wanting. try going to golders green and you get free you know what.

i do not bash jews. i have this sincere desire to know more about their way of life. this is the best way. as the jewish people i know do not open up and explain their faith.

My guess the orgin of how this happened awas a husband got the crap scared out of him by his hormonal wife and poof that's why they stay away. We woman are pretty frighting. Boo!

You say you do not bash and have a sincere desire to know yet you use an accusatory tone and repeat fiction as fact?
To add to what others have explained, your average woman has a period between 5-7 days. After it has completely stopped, Jewish law dictates 7 clean days until marital relations can be resumed. This, I assume, is the "source" of your 15 days.

I'm NOT jewish but in the old testament it says after the birth of a baby, a woman will bleed for however many days. And this is the iniquity (sin) she has to bare. But men being justified to go to a prostitute huh? Never heard that, but sounds very ludicrously (manmade) blasphemous, God (from the bible) seems to strongly dislike harlots, whores and prostitutes. SO I don't know about that....

first of the prostitute part is simply not true. As an Orthodox Jew I have never and know for a fact that such a thing is not permitted in any way shape and form.
(I dont see how you can call it abandoning, they still live together but refrain from most physical contact.)

we are not abandonrd by our husbands,when women have their period it is unclean to sleep with your husband after 14 days we use a little cloth which we have to put inside our private parts .after a few hours ,we remove it to see if it is not spotted.if it is clean ,we go to the mikva"ritual bath"and then we can be joined again.what the men do with prostitutes is for me to know and you to find out.from mikhal in israel.

Until they preform a Mikva (ritual cleansing), they are considered unclean and cannot cook certain foods, have sex, etc. This in only in the most conservative of Jewish sects anymore.

I think you have probably got your facts wrong. so are they allowed to uncover them during their period? check your facts. and allowed to go to prostitutes ?? only a guy could come up with that . i am sure this is not okay with god.
