Why should a guy have to pay?
I've often had guys pay on the first date, which is really sweet, but I don't feel they should have to pay for every date.

It depends.. if it is a first date then i would be very offended. But when i go out to dinner with my boyfriend i will pay sometimes and he will pay sometimes. i dont think its right to always make the guy pay for everything. things need to be equal in a relationship

Whomever made the date, should be prepared to pay. If one person is making most (or all) of the dates, it is not inappropriate for the other person to offer to pay on occasion.
If you ask someone out, and expect them to pick up all or some of the tab, without letting them know that would be the case beforehand, then you're not a kewl person to date.

Some girls will be.. Most girls are raised (well my generation was) that guys should be gentlemen and pay. However there are times when it is ok for the girl to pay.

Some girls might be. My boyfriend and I split the bill on our first date and I was fine with that. Also, we agreed to split the bill before we went, so that too might be why it wasn't a problem; it wasn't unexpected.
