Yes! I would contact the manager of the store or anyone above that rank on the business ladder.

Expired food/beverage items should be reported immediately to state levels too, they'll definitely want to know about something like that. If the passed expiration date is for beverages such as milk or OJ then report it immediately to the state. Although the possibility of getting sick from the products is slim it may signal neglect on the side of the store in terms of stocking its shelves with fresh items.

If the past expiration date is for food items then report it to the store manager immediately. If they do little or nothing about it then report it to the state with a comment of neglect on the part of the store.

Just report it to the store manager. They might not have enough employees to check the dates of everything and will appreciate the help. As long as they aren't trying to hide the original sell-by dates and trying to pretend that expired food is fresh, they really aren't doing anything wrong.

Who are you going to report them to? The board of health? They are only displaying foods that have expired. They are only selling them if you buy them. It happens with eggs and milk at every store in the world at least once a year.

No sometimes this happens through human error but sometimes because of lazy help! I worked grocery for 35 years and still see it. What you need to do is report it to grocery manager and store director. They will keep an eye on it and hopefully address the issue. Also sometimes the warehouse ships items that are not caught, but it is up to the employee that displays it. Good help is hard to find!

Oh definitely! I bought chocolates once that turned out to be expired by two months. The store gave a me a new box of chocolates for free! It can cause health damages, so I would definitely report them, or at least notify managemt of the store.

Just report it to management. I once returned yogurt that was 3 months out of date, salad dressing that was TWO YEARS out of date. But I always got a refund if they didn't have a good one to replace it.

You don't even want to know what the vegetables looked like in that store, but it was the only one in town. Even the meat had green on it.

If you brought the problem to the manager and you see it again happen repeatedly then yes. It could be just that a worker was lazy and the store manager hasn't found out about it... Believe me, that manager wants your business (and his/her job) and will do anything to keep from getting any health code violations.

Give the manager a chance to rectify the problem first...
