i have always found that acne goes away once the skin can breathe. exfoliating helps as well as using a body brush (but use a soft tooth brush for your face). always keep your face clean and don't use a strong soap. a good technique is to first of all splash warm to hot water on your face then clean then more warm water then a final splash of cool water to close pores to prevent dirt from getting into your skin. tea-tree oil does work especially if u have sensitive skin but always do an allergy check.

hope I've helped

Benzoyl peroxide is the best at a reasonable price. But anything anitspetic or antibiotic helps. Even putting toothpaste on a zit will help kill the bacteria if you have nothing else. Vodka works too - but what a waste! If it's bad then get a antibiotic lotion or ointment from a doctor and retinol creams remove dead sking and crear it fast - but they tend to be enpensive and can cause the skinn to thin - so they should be used under medical supervision. You can also get a vaccination against the bacteria that infects the skin - but I only know of one hospital in London that does that and usually for people who are past their teens and still can't get rid of their acne.

Benzyl peroxide topical (cream gel etc) has recently been show to be at least as effective as topical anti-biotics. So look for this as an ingredient and ask at the pharmacy. No product works quickly and you have to be patient and build up from the low strengths or it will really dry and crack your skin.

Having acne / spots has got NOTHING to do with fresh air, fatty diet or lack of exercise this is a total myth. Eating well, getting fresh air, and taking moderate exercise is sound advice, but it will not make one jot of difference to acne.

Acne is caused by the hormone triggered sebum excretion clogging the pores in skin and will of correct itself in time in the vast majority of cases - by which time you will not be a teenager.

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE SO CALLED SPOT CREAMS!!!!!
My experience was that they made my skin work harder to produce more. At 15 I was referred to as pizza face by a classmate. I was all boils, scars and flaky skin. mmm.... I was recommendend to use Clarins, which was and still is quite expensive. But the advisor will recommend the correct product for your skin type and you need to stick to the routine. Its probably the cost of a couple of computer games, but I'm now in my thirties and have even had beauticians compliment me on my lovely skin. Clarins has a mens range too and I even bought some for my boyfriend last Christmas! Yes I'm still using it and no I don't work for them!!

A varied diet including loads of veg & fruit. Get out and walk for 30 mins every day (properly), oxygenate your skin cells through exercise, plenty of water, good food and general cleanliness.

clean and clear, oxy action etc are all rubbish but salon products, which are more expensive, are more effective. so go down to the local beautitcian and ask them, but otherwise go to boots and find stuff like clarins.
