For the dinner rehearsal just wear something you are comfortable in and that looks nice. Something like you would wear to church (dress pants, with a nice top would work) just be comfortable.
Typically, you go over what you are going to be doing at the wedding. You rehearsal the wedding about 3 times so you know how you walk in with your flowers, and whom with (if you are walking with a guy) and all of that fun stuff. You practice it until the bride and groom and the pastor are comfotable with the looks of it. This is also where if you have any questions you can ask them.
Then you eat dinner and chat with the bride and groom and typically they give out gifts of appreciatation to everybody who has a part in the wedding! It is a special night for the bride and groom because everybody there are people who really mean a great deal to them. The rehearsal dinner is usually after the Wedding Rehearsal. You will probably go to the Church (if its at a church) and go through the walking order and figure out were the wedding party will stand and sit and work out any kinks. Then the wedding party and maybe close family go to the dinner as a thank you from the bride and groom. You dress up in a Sundays best to a semi formal wear, depending on the restaurant and on what others will wear.

Just wear something nice, that you would wear if you were going to a dinner date (but not super-sexy, you don't want to outshine the bride).
Many times the rehearsal dinner is a chance for the prospective in-laws to get better acquainted (if they don't already know each other well) and for the friends and family of the bride and groom to congratulate them and wish them well in an informal setting.
As mentioned, there may also be gifts given to the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Toasts are usually made to the happy couple as well.
Sometimes the younger folks may go on to a place where there is music and dancing afterwards. It just depends on the people involved. If you are 15, obviously you would not be going anywhere that they serve drinks.
Mostly just smile, be pleasant and sociable, and enjoy a free meal!! *wink*

Dress nicely, since you will be dealing with the bride and groom and the rest of the wedding party and possibly out of town guests. I would wear a nice skirt and top or a pair of slacks, a sweater, and nice dress shoes.
Rehersal dinners are basically the time when the grooms family gets to show off. They pay for the whole dinner and everyone socializes and congratulates the couple.
Hope this helped!

Well before you have the rehearsal dinner you have the rehearsal.
You go to the location of the wedding, and you walk through the ceremony, so everyone knows what they are supposed to do and where they are supposed to stand.
Then, since you are all together around dinner time, you go out to dinner together.
As far as what to wear, Wear something nice, not necessary fancy, but what you would wear to work in an office maybe.

Dress like you would for church-something nice but not too fancy. Rehearsal dinners are exactly what they imply, dinner held after the weddng rehearsal. They are pretty boring. But a lot of times, the bride & groom will present a gift to one another as well as a thank you gift to the members of their wedding party.

I'd ask the bride because she usually has an idea of the type of attire the restaurant accepts. Some dinners are more formal and some are very casual. Ours was in between...most wore a skirt and top, summer dress or nice pants and a nice shirt.

Wear something semi-formal.
You don't have to do nothing, other than to eat a nice meal on the the grooms famlily tab.
The bride will give you a present, which is traditional. That's it.
Good luck
