this is really sad for you because he's clearly not over his ex. sounds like he needs some time to figure it out and the best thing you could do is to continue on with your life and not sit around and wait for him. If it's meant to be, it will work out, but don't waste the next few days/weeks/months waiting for him. Go out with your girlfriends, meet new people, workout, learn to cook . . . anything to keep you busy and NOT waiting at home for him.
No need to force yourself to date if your not ready to take that step, but he definitely needs some time and space and the only thing you can do is give him that. Convincing him to stay with you will only make him resentfull.
(I know this is all SOOO much easier said than done! good luck!!)

What difference does it make who HE picks? What are you, on "The Bachelor" and you're up for the rose ceremony?
Why do YOU want to wait around for some confused little jerk who plays with your emotions while bonking his ex?
What are you waiting for? He's a waste of time.
And didn't you already ask this question?

I say give him all the time in the world. You want to make sure that when he's with you, he's with you because he loves you, and he isn't still in love with an ex.
If I were you, I'd get on with my life.

Your going to sit around and wait ???? Big mistake. If he doesn't already know he is choosing you then there is no reason to wait. I would never be OK with being second choice.

I can't believe you are willing to wait and see who he wants! Run,fast. He's not worth it. Get someone who wants you and you only. He's out there, keep looking.

This is something that you need to resolve. Tell him that he needs to decide and then leave him alone. But be prepaired to walk away forever.
