I should add that we could give them multiple options, like A. Yes, B. No, get out now, C, No, leave in phased withdrawals over the next 12 months, etc etc.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The people of Iraq need some type of leadership right now, no matter how evil Saddam was, he was still in leadership. If the people vote for us to leave then they would not be able to blame us if they broke out in civial war after we left, but I am sure they still would.

If they voted on this issue or not, we are there and will remain for a while yet. If you want an accurate view of how the majority of Iraqi people feel ask a soldier who has just returned from over there. They will tell you, the majority want us there. Unfortunately it does not sell papers, magazines, or news broadcasts to report this. You will only see half truths and/or only what the media wants you to see for one reason or another. And we all know when you leave any part of a story out it goes from non fiction to fiction. I challenge every American to do their own research, ask questions, and look at ALL the facts. By doing this an intelligent well informed America we will be.

Those poor people can't even vote on their own issues, how can you expect them to vote on this? Very goofy question. Half of them aren't allowed to have an education or an opinion for that matter.

The government knows better that the average citizen there.A vote could open them up for more violence. Insurgents forcing people to vote their way. It is not time for us to leave.I hate the cost of the war in blood and in dollars. But It would do injustice to those brave soldiers who died to withdraw and allow Iraq to be lost and or guys died for nothing.

They would say what we all would say if another country was in the US. The question that should be asked of them is DO YOU WANT THE US MILITARY OUT NOW? That answer is no. I have asked the question and that is the answer I got from everyone. Everyone said they wanted us gone, but not now.
