How did Microsoft Office wind up on your computer in the first place? If it's a legitimate copy you should have the original boot disks, that either came with your computer or that came in the software box.
If you bought the computer second hand, and already had Office installed on the drive, then you are "S-O-L" if the software gets erased. You'll just have to get a legitimate copy, which isn't free...
You could do what somebody I know did, and get a pirate copy for free. But then I'll laugh at you, like I did with the other guy, when the pirate disks put more viruses than software on the computer....

You can get a free copy of Microsoft office, directly from the Microsoft website, Http://www.microsoft.com under the downloads section, you can download the official office 2007 beta , and register for free as a beta tester.

unless you download an illegal copy. you can't. However...
download Open Office.org. It is 100% free and is totally compatible with office documents. if you require outlook you can download Thunderbird. a free e-mail client!
I use both of these.
(also if you go to the Microsoft download centre you can get a free, but temporary, version of windows 2007 beta)
have fun

If you don't have your original disks, or any restoration disks, here is something you can do...
go to office.microsoft.com and download the latest version (I think it's Office2003) It will work for 30 days. It's free. Then you have to buy it.
I've heard of star office that is a free 'clone' from SUN. Plus, you can get a Google account and use their word processor or spreadsheet for free.

where is the CD/DVD from where u installed ur MS Office?
find it and reinstall it with same CD KEY.
If u r registered with MS and have lost ur CD/DVD, u can ask them to send u a new one for that u have to tell them the problem and ur registered key.
I hope they will send it for free, if u r registered.
Else, buy a new one bro!

Find someone you know who has it and then ask if you can borrow it to download onto your computer. That's what I did.
