With all due respect surely any phobia is considered strange by those who dont share it. I was informed many years ago by a medical friend that every person has two (2) main phobias or fears whether they admit it or not. Some are stronger than others but all are there nevertheless. We all have slightly weaker situations where we feel uncomfortable which are weaker phobias after all.
Good luck in your quest.

I'm afraid of corpses. No joke. I realize most people have an *aversion* to the idea of corpses, but ever since I was little, I was always petrified of the idea that there was a bloody, oozy gray corpse under my bed or hanging in my closet, etc. I think my fear has been somewhat more irrational than the normal aversions that most people have.
Ironically, I think that being a forensic pathologist (or medical examiner) would be the only career for me. In other words, I'm fascinated by the object of my fears. What do you think of that?

I know someone who's sick from diabetes, high blood pressure, and I can't remember what else. She's been afraid of stepping away from her apartment. She doesn't go out. Her husband goes out to do laundry and grocery for them. She ends up missing her doctor's appointments. She comes up with sooo many excuses to not leave the house. Her health is at risk for not getting treated on time. It takes a lot of convincing from her husband to make her go see her doctor. She happend to be my boy-friend's grandmother.

I use to lose my appetite and was not able to sleep after seeing a roach. I have a hard time being in the same room with orange or grapefruit peels lying around.
