They do that for every girl they like,but that is probable because of their look.For a really hot girl they would do anything,so you can't be sure if he did it only because of your look,or he really likes you.You must get to know him a Little better so you can be totally sure!

he may like you - or he may have been depressed, only time will tell...wait and see is my best advise... dont chase him...it will make him weary of you exspecially if he just came out of bad relationship
