Some women just have inward turning nipples. It's no different fron the shape of your nose or something, no big deal.

Well, yes and no. IF your breasts have been this way since you started developing, you probably have inverted nipples.

If they recently started being that way, if you have a red or bruised-looking spot on your breast that does not go away, if the skin on your breast becomes pitted like an orange peel, if your breast is red, swollen, warm, and tender...these are symptoms of Inflammatory breast cancer, a rare and quick-spreading form of cancer. ALso, if you have crusty, itchy skin around your nipples or have a discharge from your nipples - go to a doctor as fast as you can. IBC rarely has a lump and rarely is detectable on a mammogram.

Lots of people have never heard of it. Even some doctors have never heard of it.

It has been diagnosed as early as twelve years old - but is very rare for someone as young as you to have it. PLUS, the fact that both of your breasts have inverted nipples, makes it less likely that you have cancer.

One of my friends has an inverted nipple and she said you could have plastic surgery to correct it, but OUCH, wouldn't that HURT?

Love yourself and don't worry. As you get older, you will be much more accepting of your body.

Sounds like the condition as you are explaining it is called Inverted Nipples.
It can be just the way your body wants them to grow.
However you might consider talking to your Mom about it
She may give you some comforting ideas. She may have inverted nipples or help you look it up on the internet.

Go and get it looked into however as only a physician can really give you the information that you need.

This is called an inverted nipple. It would only be a sign of breast cancer if it suddenly appeared in a mature adult woman who had never had one before. In a girl whose breasts are still developing, it is a normal variation.

Chances are you have inverted nipples. Instead of growing out the look like they are being sucked towards your body. I really wouldn't worry about it being cancer but since I am not a doctor set your mind at ease by going to an obgyn (gynecologist). And at your age it's probably about time to start getting your oh so fabulous yearly paps. Hopefully everything will turn out just fine. Good luck!!

Relax not cancer. Some women suffer from the inverted nipple. I knew a woman who had them. She said that nursing was a pain. But, she said she never had to worry about embarrassing points in the cold. Try to talk to your mom or other female relatives, it might be hereditary. Find a med web and do some research or see a Dr.

It's not a sign of Breast Cancer manay women have this it's called inverted niples, they still function but somtimes it is harder to breast feed for women with this condition. Think of it this way some people have innie belly buttons, some girls have innie nipples.

Those are called inverted nipples. Not one much can do for them. Not a sign of cancer, though.

To put your mind at rest one should go to the doctor. Most like it is nothing but best to have it checked out. 20 yr olds get Breast cancer and 1% of men do. Have it checked out.
