a school hymn?

i have been revisting my childhood (!) and i kind of remember a hymn we sang in school, part of it went 'paper pictures bits of string' and another went 'i will sig to you the best bits...'(i dont no the rest!) i was wondering if anyone knew the name of it?

The first is probably a line from "MY favorite Things" /THE SOUND OF MUSIC. I don't recognize the second one.

I am not finding this song anywhere but I can tell you it isn't My Favorite Things of the Sound of Music. Because the second line you gave isn't in it. Have you tried contacting the teacher who taught it to you for the Title and words?
