Check with a social worker in the hospital. They know everything or know how to get their hands on everything. Second choice is with the chaplain. S/he usually knows everyone on staff and what the different departments do.

You need an apron but not gloves. The apron should be one only kept and used for serving meals. You only need gloves to deal with what comes out the other end after a meal. I`ve been working in an old peoples home for the last 7 years.

No she needs to wear a pink apron but does not need gloves as she should not be directly touching the food. Although she should obviously have washed her hands beforehand.

waiters dont wear gloves in restaurants and hopefully dining staff in day hospitals dont also deal with patients directly. good question suspect answer is no they dont have to wear gloves but maybe in that environment you should raise the question

I work in admin in a food saftey department in my local council-im not too sure of the answer (dont want to give wrong advice) but your best bet would be to contact your local council-food safety department
