Security cameras on every street. Martial law restrictions (AKA) airport security. Police can stiop you just because you carry a bag. Bet you can add to this lisit - How do we make this country the land of the free

Ignorant people have screwed it up for the rest of us. It's the price we have to pay for other people taking advantage of the system.
The police and airport security are doing a great job.
I remember the day when I was traveling after 9/11 and there were armed men and women in fatigues in the airports. It was scary, but I felt safe.

I'm no less free now (age 45) than I was either 10 or 20 years ago.
Security cameras on EVERY street? Where do you live??? I live in a HUGE, sprawling city and we don't have security cameras on every street. There might be a little less crime if we did.
Martial law at the airport??? What did you get caught doing? With all the idiots out there who want to kill Americans, I am GRATEFUL for such tight security.
We are still the land of the free. If it were not for some measure of security guarding our freedom, we'd be the land of the stupid.

What is the problem every thing you mentioned is to protect your safety.
The only people afraid of security cameras, are those wishing to break the law.
I have no idea where you find martial law restrictions. You know why the security is at the airports. 9-11-01
If an officer feels you are suspicious, he'll check you out that is his job. If you are straight up you'll be on your way in a couple of minutes.
So far you are complaining because people are trying to keep you safe, these are the things necessary to keep this the land of the free.
As it is said, Freedom is not Free.

It is much easier to police people when an officer assumes guilt. The corruption in our system in almost complete. And the average citizen is to stupid to know that what the police do everyday will sooner or later effect them to. Example: drunk driving laws. We want to crack down on drunk drivers. Of course you would agree with that. But what that means to most police officers is that any car on the road between midnight and 5 AM can be stopped for no reason. And that is what they do. All the time. Example: my friend starts work at 2AM. He has been stopped three times for no reason. Another friend was stopped at 3AM and the officer said "we just wanted to know where you were going."
Basically most officers think that when a law is passed that the people want strict enforcement of, that somehow means the bill of rights does not apply.

Would you prefer the land of the dead and wounded. If you aren't doing anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about. Police can only stop you if they have a reasonable doubt, Airport security has to be strict(do you remember 9/11). This is the land of the free. God Bless America

I would say thumbs up to security cameras........missing and abducted children and college students cases have been solved by security cameras.
You have the freedom to post a very silly question because of freedom of speech. Apparently September 11th slipped your mind.

Because people have taken advantage of our freedom and have ruined it for the rest of us. Teenagers take less responsibility for their actions then ever before, bad behavior is not punished hard enough and we are letting immigrants in at such an alarming rate that we can't trust anyone to just BEHAVE.

BECAUSE WE GAVE OUR COUNTRY AWAY. WE LIVE IN A VERY DIFFERENT WORLD AND IF YOU LOOK AT MANY OF THE MAJOR EUROPEAN COUNTRIES THEY ALL HAVE SOLDIERS IN THE STREET. IN ORDER TO BE SAFE FROM TERROR ATTACKS WE HAVE TO ALLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT SOME LEEWAY. WHY WORRY IF YOUR NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. I LIVE IN NYC AND WE HAVE BAG INSPECTIONS ON THE SUBWAY. THE POLICE ARE IN SWAT GEAR WITH MACHINE GUNS. RANDOM CHECK POINTS ARE SET UP PERIODICALLY. IT JUST REMINDS ME OF A FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN THEY ARE LOOKING FOR DRUNK DRIVERS. IT SEEMS LIKE IT'S FRIDAY ALL THE TIME. THE WORLD IS VERY DIFFERENT NOW. YOU CAN THANK YOU FRIENDLY MUSLIMS FOR THAT.

I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA RAN BY THE DEMS.
THEY RUN THIS STATE LIKE A JAIL
YOU THINK THAT WITH ALL THE PROGRESSIVES AROUND THEY WOULD PROTEST THIS STATE THE MOST INCLUDING NEW YORK AND SEATTLE WASHINGTON.
IN SEATTLE THERE IS A CAMERA IN EVERY STREET CORNER.

because some people take thier freedoms for granted. they use their freedoms to hurt innocent people ie people who drive while they are uncable to control the vechicle (drunk driver). There are alot of people in this country who abuse thier rights child pornography murders rapist i bet u can add to that list.
