I would like to know the different styles of hanging curtains to make your living room more appealing.

There are lots of ways to hang curtains...
decorative wood poles in various finishes
and finials
decorative metal rods in in various finishes and finials
there even is modern aluminum wire to hang contemporary curtains
The list could go on.

I prefer vertical blinds (nice and simple and easy to clean).
But I recently saw a cute idea for smaller windows. They used a very nice ladies scarf, the over the shoulder square kind, it was a deep burgandy with a nice fringe on it. They turned over one end to fit the curtain rod through, and hung it on the diagonal. It didn't cover the entire window, just the top half. Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain here cause it was very cute.
