The painting is a holiday, probably Christmas, winter/snow on the ground scene of St Paul's Church. The date on the back of the picture is 1967. The Rev. Ralph Edwin Merrill, who served as rector 1960-74, was at St. Paul's when the picture was painted. The white church is a typical New England church of the early 1700s.
