Do you think it's ever possible not to have a biased interpretation of anything? Do you think someone can honestly sit down and write something without their own bias creeping in?

My last question was about how a biased school system is demonizing Christianity to the point where thousands are condemning the religion off of misplaced facts and gaping wholes in logic. People wrote in and actually claimed the system was unbiased.

If you say, well let's just present all the facts of the case because facts can't be biased I think you're wrong in your assumption. Facts themselves can be open to interpretation. More than that there are an infinite number of facts to every issue. You can't analyze an infinite number of facts so bias creeps in by your mere selection of facts to present.

But hey, this is just a biased writer talking about his own bias about biasness(not a word?).

I think we are all partial one way or another, as much as some may think themselves to be tolerant, or impartial or unbiased, our nature leads us to think that we are right and therefore some other people are wrong. I don't think really and truly, that someone could sit down and write something without their own bias creeping in unless they were denying their true nature and just "playing nice".

After years of study, workshop after workshop, I believe it is impossible not to have a bias to some degree. Yes, I think one can write or even argue a point that is contrary to his/her own bias. In grad school I argued or presented many points of view that were not my own. This is called being objective.

Yes, Christians are unfairly picked upon.

I think it's impossible to not be biased. We only get two eyes to see the world with, and one brain to filter that information with, you can only fit in so many perspectives.
