Alien just means "not born on earth" or whatever local you happen to be talking about. In this sense God and His angels are aliens. So I see no reason why there couldn't be other planets with life like us.
From a religious basis I actually believe there are other planets created by God and they have people to who were created just like us.

if there are other life forms then why should they too not have a soul/spirit
and if so then yes they would be born like us and die like us .. and if there is a spirit world then im sure they go also
