As you know there are many products on the market but it's often trial and error to find the one that suits you and your pocket! I have frizzy prone hair but it's not thick, one that I like is l'oreal elvive nutri gloss shampoo and conditioner! The other little known fact that I thought i'd pass on is that conditioner really needs heat to work, and the best way is your normal conditioner put on left in your hair for 20-30 mins with a plastic bag over your hair or cling film, and then a towel wrapped around your head to keep the natural heat your head generates in! you don't have to buy a really expensive deep conditioner to get a good effect! I'd do this perhaps twice a week for a month and then perhaps down to once a week for a month!
The heat opens the cuticle up allowing the conditioner to penetrate the cortex, the main bit that needs it, otherwise conditioner just smooths the outside down and is temporary!

Redken makes a good line called Extreme and it is for damaged/dry/frizzy hair. It works great and they have the serum, leave in conditioner, etc. Also, if you just want the serum, frizz ease works really well. Matriz also makes one called curl.life or something like that to help define curls, you should take a look.

Pantene for Black Hair and Paul Mitchell are good. So is this shampoo called Mane n Tail. Another is Motions. Your hairtype can work well with any of these.
I also suggest using Queen Helene Hair Cholesterol Treatments.
If you don't mind spending money, the entire Mizani Line works wonders! Trust and believe!

Get some henna wax deep intensive conditioner and add some warmed virgin olive oil to it - not too much though! use this about once a fortnight - and leave it on your hair for at least half an hour. This makes your hair lovely soft and shiny.

Sounds like you need some good AFRO products in your hair!
Look for 'Root Stimulator Organics' range in an area which is multicultural, and visit one of those hair shops you would probably never dream of walking into.....Forget Boots, Superdrug etc. they simply don't cater!
