I do exercise, but I may not do them right or the right ones. I have tried appetite suppresants and they don't seem to help. I am not fat but I do have some fat that I would like to get rid of.

The best one is the one that works for you and that you can make into a permanent lifestyle.

Atkins works for me.

I strongly recommend the Rosedale Diet. I had also tried every diet and exercised till I was blue in the face, but couldn't lose any weight at all and I was quite overweight.

Dr. Rosedale's credentials impressed me, as he was the discoverer of the hormone called leptin which regulates hunger and metabolism.

He explains that some people's bodies are excellent at finding fuels other than fat to burn. Your body could be burning muscle, the protein that you eat (which would otherwise go to feed muscle or go right through you as waste), and even your bones for fuel! Yet, it won't burn fat no matter how little you eat. This happens because your leptin balance isn't correct, which makes your body think you are starving (even when you are eating normally), so it is avoiding burning fat at all costs. The Rosedale Diet puts your leptin back in balance so that you start burning fat again.

I should warn you that the diet is very restrictive. You can eat as much as you want, whenever you want, but there is a very long list of foods that you aren't allowed to eat. I surprisingly didn't find that a problem, since I lost my appetite and cravings for sweets once I went on this diet.

This diet, though very restrictive, is surprisingly easy and painless to be on. It is also the only diet in which all the weight you lose will be from fat, instead of from muscle or water. It's not dangerous like Atkins and many other low carb diets are. It's also very healthy and promotes long life! I can't recommend it enough.

First off. Theres no such thing as a DIET. Its a lifestyle. You either change your eating habits completely, or you do some retarded diet and get the weight back eventually. People go up and down up and down on the scale, because they just go for quick fixes. You dont want to be oprah.. well, I wouldnt mind having her MONEY, but I dont want her fluctuating weight....

1. Do cardio exercise at least 3 or 4 times a week. You dont have to overdo it each time. Just get your heart pumping and your skin sweating. Jump rope and jumping jacks are the best. If youre a skater or a biker, do that. Do whatever makes you happy.

2. Crunches that work out your abs and your obliques. Do that bicycle crunch. (The one with alternating legs... where you crunch your elbow to the opposite leg and keep switching). That one is the BEST.

3. Stop taking pills and appetite suppresants. Not eating doesnt help you lose weight. Not getting enough food makes your body hold on to your weight. You should be eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.

If you REALLY feel that you eat too much. Drink a glass of orange juice an hour before your meals. The glucose in the OJ does something to you and makes you feel more full and eat less when your meal comes around.

4. Stay away from foods high in sodium and sugar. Drink a lot of water. Stay away from soda. When I stopped drinking soda, I lost 5 lbs the first week.

I feel for you.. I myself was 214 pounds at one point and it seemed that no matter what i did i just couldnt lose the weight. I found that NO CARBS works.. I know you hear that you need them for other reasons but carbs turn to sugar which in itself turns to fat. Look for a DIABETIC DIET that you like and you will find that it works well.. I am now 135 pounds and didnt have to exercise as much as i thought. I treat myself to carbs only once a week and it does work. I have been this weight for two years now. Its not an instant thing.. it does take time and you will see a difference. There are alot of what is called free foods that you can eat that dont put any weight on you and you can snack on them all you want..Hope this helps..

Does it have to be low carb? I lost 30 lbs. in 1 month using the Isagenix program. And i've been able to maintain it!! It is completely natural and has no stimulants like ephedra or caffeine that can hurt your body. You detoxify your body which changes your metabolism and makes your stomach smaller so you can maintain your weight. And with it's healthy ingredients it also retrains your body to crave healthy foods instead of junk food! Then it replaces the lost fat with lean muscle using protein. It even comes with a "lose 7-15 lbs. in 9 days" guarantee!! What other product gives you that guarantee in such a short time?? and you dont even have to stop eating bread!

Low carb is bad... go for little to no grain in your diet. protein ups your metabolism and fruits and vegetables are the best route. Drink a ton (and I mean a ton) of water to flush your system and stay AWAY from salt. Also you can do Core Secrets, it is an inexpensive program that allows you to work your core muscles which will in turn get rid of the love handles.

Get a medicine ball, I'm a dancer and to get rid of ours, we are doing a medicine ball workout three times a week, If you keep at it, eat a balnaced diet and work hard with regular calistenics, such as crunches and jumpin jacks, say adios to those handles!
