my 5 yr old told me last night that he wants to work for NASA and be an astronaut so he can go visit Jupiter!
i dont think he knew what an astronaut was let alone NASA!!!

kids today know a lot of things. my 7 year old sister says a lot of things that supprises me every day.
i will never grow up but when i am older i want to be a chef.
(my dad is 49, mom is still waiting for him to grow up)

My 8 year old daughter wants to be a "baby" doctor. She has been saying this since she was 6 years old.
My 9 year old son changes all the time...he first wanted to be a veterinarian. I then told him that he would treat all kinds of animals not only dogs. He would have to treat mice and rats. Then he was like oh never mind. He changed it to a plumber like his dad, then i told him okay but your dad crawls under houses and sees bugs, spiders and sometimes mice and rats. He said never mind I want to be a detective / spy agent. So I told him some detectives have to see dead bodies and bloody scenes. He didn't like the idea of that now he is saying he wants to be a fashion designer. He wants to own his own clothing line with my niece. We'll see what he comes up with in a month from now. lol

I would imagine all 5 year olds know what an astronaut is. My older daughter wants to be a writer..my 8 year old is not quite sure yet because it changes year to year.

I don't have kids, but my 5 year old nephew has wanted to become a zoologist for over 2 years now. We take him to the zoo regularly. When he was three, we were at the zoo with my father, his grandfather....My nephew pointed out to him all the rare and obscure animals by their correct names all day. He can't read the plaques next to the cages. He just regognzed animals like the giant elephant shrew, and the naked mole rat, as well the okapi. He corrected me on the pronunciation of this one.
He amazes me.

My 12 yr old wants to be a storm chaser (like in Twister) and has wanted to do this since she was 7, my 10yr old wants to be a pediatrician and has wanted to since she was 5, and my 8yr first wanted to be a garbage man, then a cop, then a daddy, now he says he is goint to play pro ball, he doesn't care if it is football, baseball, basketball, or whatever, as long as it is some sort of pro ball sport.

My 7 year old son says he wants to be a policeman or firefighter. My 5 year old daughter says she wants to do hair for a living. Then she said that she wants to have a big office and dress pretty.

My daughter is 7 now, but the first thing she ever wanted to be was an ice-cream scooper at Baskin Robbins! LMAO
Then she went through the teacher phase...and as a matter of fact, this morning she said she wants to be a writer.

I have a 4yr old who wants to be a police man, a doctor, a pirate ,and work the drive through at Krystal's let alone a Japanese chef.........changes every month !!
