Yes it is possible. No very likely but it can happen. Usually there aren't any symptoms except a lump. If you have a lump, you need to go to the doctor and have it checked.

Don't worry honey- majority of bumps and lumps in teens aren't breast cancer. It is very very rare for a teen to get breast cancer. If you have a family history, be sure to get a mammography every 6months to 1 year, to be safe. For now, see a doctor (it can't hurt right?) and make sure eveyrthing's okay. Good luck! It could just be a cyst which will go away on it's own ;-)

As one person has already posted, the disease does not discriminate by age. So many, seemingly random conditions may trigger a cancerous growth.

Even men can get breast cancer.

I definetly agree with the advice that you see a doctor. Don't let him/her simply dismiss the cancer possibility strictly because of your age. If the doctor suggests that "It could be" cancer, except for your age, then I'd ask the doctor to procede as if it still might be cancer.

Don't let it go until you can be convinced that it can NOT BE cancer before you relax. Another way of putting it. ask the doctor to definetly tell you what it IS. And ask the doctor how he/she knows this.

Inflammatory breast cancer

Inflammatory breast cancer is an uncommon type of breast cancer that can grow and spread quickly even at a relatively early stage of the disease. This type of cancer can develop when breast cancer cells block the lymph vessels that remove fluids, bacteria and other waste products from breast tissue. As a result, the breasts can become inflamed. Unlike the most common types of breast cancer that develop one or more single solid tumours, inflammatory breast cancer tends to grow in layers or nests.

Symptoms

Symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer can appear suddenly and they vary from person to person. If you develop one or more of the following symptoms, see your doctor:

A change in the size or shape of your breast. Breast size may increase over a short period of time. Some women report that their bra size increases a full cup size in just a few weeks.
Breasts that are warm or hot to the touch.
A change in the normal colour of your breasts. Skin on the breast or patches of skin may appear red, pink, or appear bruised for no known reason.
A change in breast texture. Skin may have a pitted appearance similar to the skin of an orange.
Itchy breasts not relieved by ointments or creams.
Sudden appearance of a lump in your breast. However, because inflammatory breast cancer tends to grow in layers instead of forming a solid tumour, a person with this type of breast cancer may not necessarily feel a lump in the breast.
Swollen lymph nodes under the arm or above the collar-bone.
Nipple discharge.

The symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer can be similar to an infection of the breast (mastitis) which can be effectively treated with antibiotics. Symptoms that do not go away in spite of antibiotic treatment should be discussed with a doctor. Further testing to rule out inflammatory breast cancer may be needed.

Signs and symptoms of breast cancer

For most women, finding a lump in their breast is the most common sign of breast cancer. If it’s tender but not painful, it’s usually a symptom of a benign condition and should be checked by your doctor. A lump is sometimes found during a clinical breast examination or when you’ve had a mammogram.

Other signs might include:

lump or swelling in the armpit
changes in breast size or shape
dimpling or puckering of the skin – thickening and dimpling skin is sometimes called orange peel
redness, swelling and increased warmth in the affected breast
inverted nipple – nipple turns inwards
crusting or scaling on the nipple

Most lumps are not cancer. Many women find that their breasts are lumpy and tender before their period. Check with your doctor to be sure.

While anything is possible, it's kind of unlikely for someone of your age to get this disease. If you have suspicions, perhaps a lump or something, go to your doctor. Don't be thinking it's cancer as it could be anything from a lymph node or a cyst. Check out the link below for better information than I can give.

Yes it is possible, but in your age group it's not very common.

The symptoms can vary, but I'm guessing you've probably felt a lump in your breast? This could mean a lot of things, but in your age group it may be a benign fibrocystic mass.

I suggest that you see a doctor to make sure and so that you can rest easier.

Cancer has no age limits. I've heard of babies having cancer. Do you feel any lumps? Check with your family (is there a history of this). Speak to your school nurse. You may be concerned over nothing. Share this with your mom or other female relative that you feel safe to talk to.

it can be possible. it is a bit rare that this young age but it can happen.
best advise go to your local drug store (walgreens, cvs, family center) and buy the self breast test. this is sold over the counter it is a little kit i think it costs anywhere between $20.00 to $40.00 and it is a bubbly ball which helps you and guide you how to self exam yourself.
also the box has a help line you can call if you have any questions.
