It is normal.
Sometimes blood pumps into your arteries and it goes on all the time in fine capillaries - which is what you have in your eye balls and surrounding tissues. Very minute areas get blood this way and body adjusts itself for it. You feel it when this happens because eyes are such a sensitive place.
If it stops after a few seconds, there should be no cause for concern.
If it goes on all day or if it is unbearable, it is an indication of something else. Your doc can tell you.

If it's in the eyelid or skin surrounding the eye, it could be a simple spasm that happens when you're tired or stressed. It will go away. If it does not, see a doctor

This can occur if you are a little more stressed than usual.
Try to identify what might be adding stress to your life and try to deal with it.
There is not really anything you can do, you don't really have any control over these involuntary muscle twitches.

If you notice this happening after doing a lot of reading, working on the computer, etc., then it is caused by eye muscle strain. Try to take frequent 'vision' breaks. If it happens a lot, please go see an opthalmologist or an optometrist, because you may need glasses.

Yes... a nervouse twitch.. maybe you're under a lot of stress.. go home and lay in bed, close your eyes, perhaps put a cool towel (dampened) over it. take deep breathes .. inhale and breathe out slowly for a minute everyday... hope that helps

It is probably nothing more than a muscular twitch. I get them from time to time and usually after I've had to spend a lot of time on the computer or reading.

It is just a nerve. I have had the same thing. It can go on for an extended period of time. It is usually caused by stress.
