You should really go to a salon. Becuase they can make sure you natural hair color is covered up.

If you have darker hair then you need to lighten it before you dye it. Sally's Beauty Supply is a good place to get dye at, then again I have found the same stuff at Hot Topic but it is cheaper at Sally's. After you lighten and dye your hair use vinegar (white vinegar) to rinse the dye out, this will make the color stay better. You might smell like an easter egg at first but it will go away.
or you can have a salon do it for you but it will cost a lot more money.

what type of color are you looking for, and are you trying to be permanent? Well you can try at any Beauty supply stores and remember if you are dark going light you need some type of lightening(bleach, developer) if you are afraid try highlights first you can just go to wal-mart for those, if there is a Sally's beauty Supply in your area try to get you color there

go to your local drugstore and pick up loreal color. works well and you can see it. are you trying to change your color or enhance your natural color? that would be the first thing you may want to take into consideration

well first wat color is your hair. then go to walgreens.
