I will provide for all the atheists out there, a undeniable truth of gods existance.
First I will ask you to seperate the difference between possible existance and impossible and necessary existance. Possible is existance that don't have to exist. Such as George W. Bush, he can exist but its not necessary that he exists. I will prove why god is necessary. First lets list some impossible existances, impossible existances are things that the mind cannot concieve of existancing an example would be a round square or 2+2=5 sure the defination can change but the fact will never change. Now is santa claus a possible existance or an impossible existance? Santa claus is a possible existance because we can concieve of him existing even though he doesn't. Its not impossible that he exists. Physically it might be impossible, but logically we can concieve of santa claus existing. Now for god. Lets first define god. Lets make the defination simple and not religous based. Lets say god is the greatest

possible being we can concieve of existing. Now for the defination of greatness. The defination can vary but you must agree with this defination. Greatness is an attribute of existing. NOW lets say god doesn't exist. But im sure we can concieve of god existing right? Its possible god exists but he doesn't. Now if god is the greatest possible being and he doesn't exist then god would be greater than god. Because god is the greatest possible being we can concieve of. And the great is a attribute of existing. Hence if the greatest thing we can concieve of does not exist then there is a greater thing because existing is great. And since god is the greatest, he MUST exist. IT IS ILLOGICAL to think he doesn't exist.

I'm not arguing on any side of the bible or for the god in the bible. I am merely arguing for a god. This god is just the greatest being any indiviual can concieve of. For those who automatically assume im refering to the god in the bible u r wrong. I am merely stating god exists, not any particular god.
Just wanted to see some arguements

I just wanted to see some arguements in return on what i said. I am not a religious man. Nor am i shoving it down ur throats because athetists must have a logical reason as to why they don't believe in god. And i was searching for one that is not opinion based. Im looking for arguements in return that is not opinion based plz

God is the Lord of all Lords, King of Kings, The Most High, The beginning of All things, and the End of all things. God is the creator of the Heavens and the Earth and the foundation of all things that exist. To prove God is real, I must also prove that the Bible is true.
The same way any of us learned, any thing about God is the same way we learn any kind of History there is. When studying any subject of history you must go back to the beginning. Whether it be Law, Math, English, Politics, Science, etc...you must go back to ancient times, ancient findings where everythings was based around God. Everything in this earth's history can be found throughout the bible in parts. So whatever fundamental knowledge you taken in from school, know that it is derived from the same source as the bible, in theory. The bible includes all of the history that has established nations existing today, the reason it is not accepted is because it focuses on The God of all things. Accepting this fact would humble many people and show that we are all equal, we all have the same beginning, and the same end.

So you're argument is that everything which we can conceive of existing has a possibility of existing? And everthing we cannot concieve of existing cannot exist?

I applaud your proposition because it does require some thought.

The fact is that we can only conceive of Santa Claus as a logical possibility if we do not go below the surface of it. We can all conceive of a Santa Claus because there is a nice little cartoony figure we have all seen and sweet little stories we have all heard. But if we explore the logic of the existence of Santa Claus, then those mental images are not so convincing. The existence of Santa Claus depends upon many impossibilities such as an army of elves, limitless resources, laws of physics ceasing to exist, manipulation of space-time, etc. As logical human beings, we can look at all of these things and conclude that Santa is a made-up story. The fact that I have a picture of him in my head does not make his existence any more likely.

So your argument is that if we pretend like all of these impossibilities do not exist, Santa is more likely to exist? I don't think that is correct. I think that ignoring reality simply makes the acceptance of fiction easier. Existence and non-existence do not depend upon acceptance. Things either exist or they do not exist. Therefore, we cannot bring things into existence by ingnoring reality. Your argument does not increase or decrease the likeliehood that God exists.

Yes God exists. These are not my words but read this and think about it. How can all of this happen without God planning it and creating it?

93 million miles from the blistering surafce of the sun stands the planet earth. A rotating sphere perfectly suspended in the center of the universe. The ultimate creation from an infinate mind. An unbelievably intricate complex design. A supernatural testimony, an irrefutable sign that there is a God.

The size, position and angle of the earth is a scientific phenomenon to see. A few degrees closer to the sun we'd disintegrate, a few degrees furter we'd freeze. The axis of the earth is titled at a perfect 23 degree angle and it's no mistake that it is. This allows equal global distribution to the rays of the sun making it possible for the food chain to exist.

Or take for example the combination of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere we breathe every day. It just happens to be the exact mix that life needs to prosper, it doesn't happen on any other planet that way.

You see, the Bible says the invisible things of God are seen through His creation, to believe this is not hard. If there's a design, there's a designer, if there's a plan, there's a planner and if there's a miracle, there is a God.

The Scripture says the heavens decalre the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands. If we allow our minds to drink in all the truth that surrounds the truth that just surrounds us, creation itself will help us understand.

Did you know the moon controls the tides? It's the maid that cleans the oceans. Even the waves don't crash the shores in vain. The tides drag impurities from the depths of the sea, it's nature's constrant recycling chain.

It simply boggles the mind to think that the stars will rotate with such exact precision that it's true. That the atomic clock, with an error factor of less than three seconds per millenium, is set by the way we move.

Though they silently orbit, the sun, the moon, the stars are like celestial evangelists above. Who circle the earth every 24 hours shouting in every language that there is a God. Atheism is the wedge under the foundation of our faith, trying to topple our relationship with Christ. When the fool said in his heart 'there is no God' he rejects the truth God painted on the canvas of the night. Atheism has never created an artistic masterpiece, never healed a fatal disease or calmed a fear. Atheism has still never given answers to our existence, peace to a troubled mind or even dried a tear.

For it's God who created heaven and earth and flung the stars in space and breathed in the handful of dirt and it became a man. It's God who sits on the circle of the earth and measures the mountains in a scale, and holds the seven seas in the palm of His hand. It's God who sent His only begotten Son to the cross of Calvary to save our souls from Hell and the grave. It's God who creates, God who delivers, God who heals and who is worthy of a thunderous ovation of praise!

I got lost a little in following your argument for gods existence but heres mine. Lets start with this fact The existence of the universe. The universe is. Whether it is really as solid as it looks or whether it is a collection of forces, the fact remains that something is.
In science there is no such thing as an effect without a cause. What caused it? Whence came its energy? Even if the entire universe were proved to develop from some one original atom, what caused the original atom?
An original cause for the universe is beyond the power of the human brain to picture and we can spare ourselves any effort of doing so. But while we cannot picture the original cause, neither can we conceive of the existence of even one atom without a cause. For this reason we will accept the idea of an original cause, and having done so will give it the name "God". By using this name "God" we reach the conclusion that as there cannot be an effect without a cause, so there cannot be a universe without "God". The person who professes atheism really means that the original cause we have here called "God" has not the personality or other attributes religious people ascribe to God. Whether the original cause has personality or not, whether we can conceive it with our limited minds or not, It is. We can call it "Original cause", or "God", or anything else. But if "God" created the universe we can learn about the nature of "God" by studying the universe around us. So it's up to you to decide if "God" has personality or not.

Ah! This is St. Anselm's Ontological Argument. (At least he could spell.) Its roots go back to the ancient Greek idea of the Ideals, such as Truth, Goodness and Beauty. There is no perfect truth on Earth, but we know what truth is, therefore, there must be an absolute, perfect Truth beyond our perception. The same holds true for the other ideals. Following this, by definition, God would be that greater than which no other being could be. Solved by definition! (Incidentally, it works for hotdogs too.)

You're building up to either Anselm's proof or Descarte's proof. Both are false.

Try harder.

---

Added: Alright, you went with Descartes' version. In that case, let's do this. Look around until you see a chair. Walk around it. Study it. Now close your eyes and in your mind's eye, rebuild the chair. Can you do it? Of course -- you can conceive of that chair.

Can you do this about god? Can you, in your minds eye, see or experience all of the properties of God? Even the Bible says if anyone ever saw God in his full glory, they would die.

Therefore, according to the Bible, God is inconceivable.

Descartes' proof falls apart.

----------

Very well, disregarding the Bible. "ANY god" then.

Descarte makes an unfounded assumption -- existence is greater than non existence. He must take this as axiomic; it is a value judgement and cannot be determined purely by logic. As it is axiomic, it is unprovable and is subject to denial. Existence and nonexistence may very well be the opposite sides of the same coin, and thus, neither is greater than the other.

Descartes' proof falls apart.

You didn't even finish your argument knucklehead.

This argument is sometimes referred to as the "ontological argument" for god's existence. It's in my opinion (and most others) a very ridiculous argument that has many errors. I'm not even going to argue about god's existence here. My feeling is that even if a god did exist this argument still falls short as far as proving it.

Here is a link for you and anyone else interested where you can read criticisms of this argument.

Uh, you left out like the whole last half of it. You are talking about Anselm's Ontological Argument.

I gotta argue with "sensitive" though. You mean to say that I can cause God to exist or not to exist just by whether or not I believe? That makes me more powerful than he is!

Umm i also didn't read all that you wrote but i think i get the jist. Let me ask you this, have you ever been in love? If yes, then how did you know, i mean you can't see or hold it physically but in your heart you know its there. The same applies to the question you asked. Not everything in life can be explained using logic, math equations or theories.

Is it possible or impossible that you asked this question? Lets examine the alternatives: first you either ask the question, but you didn't HAVE to ask the question, or you don't ask the question (in which case you don't appear to be insane) secondly, either the question is askable or it isn't askable as in a question which never existed to begin with or one that is made up of rediculous and pedantic ramblings. Does pretty much answer it for you?
