they cant qualify to come legally because they have to have 10k (dollars) in the bank and own land to come legally...if you are poor, and the reason you are coming is to work, then how are you ever going to get 10k?

I DO want what is the best for the US, and our economy, and that is leaving all workers and taxpayers to support our govt.

Tijuana is by no means an example of Mexico. Just like saying the Bronx is a goods example of the US!

No, it does not. It makes you compassionate. However, I urge you to look at the bigger picture. If we let those stay who have entered illegally that will only encourage others. Lets be realistic, America is a country that affords many opportunities that are not available in other countries. This means that if we bend the rules for one we have to bend the rules for all. This eventually would get out of control.

you are one of them . So your support means nothing. We cant come here legally! Then stay home. The numbers are mind blowing. You creek jumpers think it is a free for all. This is ours you are stealing from us .And think we are racist because we get angry at you for waving your Damn flag on our soil in our country. Your day is coming . We are fed up and we are taking our country back. If you have it so bad in your country change it leave mine alone.

By all means no. This country is made and founded by Immigration. You have your own set of opinion on this topic, it doesn't make you a traitor to your country not at all. It's natural to want to give someone else a chance to try to make something of themselves, other wise all they'll ever be is what they're already label..."The white man burden".
Many don't agree with it, but..hey their own point of view is just that...their OWN point of view. But they should respect others response as well as opinion on this subject, instead of labeling.

If you are an American (or a United Statesian as the illegals like to say) then that does kind of make you a traitor. You don't want what is best for the USA. You don't care about its citizens. You care more about people who break the law and ruin the country to better their own lives.

No, you're not a traitor; you are clearly someone who cares about others. That's admirable. Unfortunately, there are implications of having illegal aliens here. It affects our standards of living and costs us a lot of money.
This country can absorb some immigration, but not the wave of illegal aliens we're seeing now. Additionally, there are movements with many people who believe that Mexico should have our land. They are trying to take it through a silent revolution.
If you want to see how America will end up if we don't control illegal aliens, take a trip to Tijuana.

No. It probably means you are a person with a functioning brain capable of critical thinking not content to follow blindly in what the media tells you you should feel about a group of people. You have heart good for you!

I don't think you are a traitor.I think you are blinded by your views to reality at times but you believe in what you feel is right.I don't have to agree with you to understand your point of view.No matter what is said you defend the illegal even if they are wrong, its like a mother and her child, most mothers think their child can do no wrong.
I am open to new facts and new ways to get thru this mess we have going on right now.You just need to be a little more open minded. No I don't think you are a traitor.I will defend your right to your views but let us have ours as well.

It just makes you naive, My wife came to USA legally from Brazil, and if you have studied in school and made good grades and been a good person (no criminal record), its not so hard to come to US legally. The main reason people come illegally is because they cannot come legally because they have a criminal record in their own country or some other issue that keeps them from passing a background check given by US INS. For example they don't have good legal documentation in their own country, have a gambling or drinking or drug problem, own money to someone in their counrty or have a criminal record or are part of a criminal gang in their own country, or are abandoning their wife, children or family. Do not have a HS or better education. The people that don't have issues cannot get in US legally

I agree mostly with "answerman"..I dont believe you are a traitor, but even though these "ilegal" immigrants should be given the chance, at least they should do it and earn it the right way...and just like everybody else. Laws sometimes suck...but they are the base of society.....now, could you be so kind to answer the last question I posted on my profile?? I noticed you know a lot in immigration...maybe you can help? thanks!

Since you are pro illegal it bothers me that you claim to be going to church where they teach you right from wrong, than you are excusing the numerous other laws that get broken which put you in the position of you're doing wrong. In the world you live in illegal aliens simply come to work, desire a better life. Does your church teach you it's o.k. to become involved in fraud that if anyone uses a fake soc sec number that the laws which apply to the rest of us that illegal aliens have some type of entitlement to break any law to acquire a better. You know anyone illegal uses a false id and that's just wrong. Like the one from EL PASO she condones and encourages document fraud and maintains she doesn't answer to the laws of the land but to a higher power the same as Bush when asked about the war he included he answered to a higher power. Your churches are not suppose to oppose any law they find unsuitable who gave humans enough knowledge to make laws and know right from wrong?
