I made this for my son's birthday last year. It was a big hit with the little ones. I got the recipe from foodnetwork. I saw it on Paula's Home Cooking.

1 box favorite cake mix
1/2 cup cold water
2 eggs
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cooking oil
24 flat-bottomed ice cream cones

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine cake mix and 1/2 cup cold water. Beat 1 minute. Beat in eggs, water, vanilla and oil. Mix well. Place ice cream cones in muffin tins or on cookie sheet and fill each 1/2 full with batter. Bake 15 minutes or until cake springs back to the touch. Frost and decorate when cooled.

Birthday Cake Cones
Serving Size : 30

1 (18.25-ounce) package chocolate or yellow cake mix
30 each flat bottomed ice cream cones, (buy more just in case some are broken)
1 cup prepared frosting (homemade or store-bought)
(2.1-ounce) NESTLE® BUTTERFINGER® Candy Bar, chopped, divided use

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Prepare cake mix batter according to package directions. Stir in half of chopped Butterfinger. Spoon 2 tablespoons cake batter into each cone. Place cones in the cups of a muffin pan or on a baking sheet.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool completely.

Decorate with frosting. Sprinkle with remaining chopped Butterfinger. The cones are best served the same day as they are prepared.

I use to buy a cake mix at the store, any kind you want, make up the mix and fill the cone about 1/2 to 2/3 full. Put the cones in an cupcake pan so that they will not fall over and bake for lenght of time for cupcakes. Frost and enjoy.
