Absolutely, I was always wondering when someone would do something like that. I saw a sketch the other day on a friends computer here in Jubail in KSA and thought it was awesome. He also had pictures of Palm Island and cluster of islands that are arranged to make it appear as though you are looking at the planet earth, along with the world tallest structure. I would love to go there, that is a beautiful place and will be even greater in the future.

There are to underwater hotels in the middle east.
1- In Dubai which will finish in last 2007.
2- in Beirut which will finish in 2011.
I would prefer to travel to both, but Lebanon is closer to Europe so I might go for Lebanon.

that would be an amazing experience to stay under water however the project called hydro polis was cancelled and that is not happening in dubai any more!

Why not? It sounds pretty neat. You only live once, and I'm sure that just because it's in a different country, it would still have to pass certain safety regulations. I say go for it.
