Farah has anal cancer, which is very rare and not caught by colonoscopy. According to the article in People Magazine she noticed she hadn't been feeling like normal for a while and underwent 2 weeks of testing before they figured out what was ailing her. She was there for Ryan O'Neal when he had Leukemia and he is supporting her through her treatment.

Its what my friend (who LOVES the magazine "People") told me. Moreover, it's digestive tract cancer (colon-rectal cancer, I believe she said), although most reports say the type is unconfirmed.
